People of my year 2011
I got this idea when I came across Bianca's blog. Media publishes a list of people that made significant impact over the year that was. Well, this is my version of it, the difference is that these are the people that influenced, moved, and inspired my year 2011. This is my little way of saying thank you for what they have done whether they know it or not.

Nads and I have know each other for almost 3 years now (ever since I started working at TMC) but it was only last year that we've gotten really close. 2011 was a tough year for me, and just when I tought that nobody can understand me and what I'm going through, she opened up her life to me. She is truly one of the most inspiring person you would ever meet. That talk at 711 in Buendia at the middle of the night changed how I look at things and the challenges I was facing. She literally saved me. I've learned the appreciation of having time for yourself, pursuing our dreams, making new dreams, discovering our passion, while waiting for that someone that God has prepared for us. This free-spirit, fun loving girl is a true beauty, inside and out.

'Desia Maldita' as we fondly call her. She has this weird characteristic of being maldita while staying prim and proper. So cute! haha... She is one of the most good-hearted person you would meet. A true friend, she supports you and makes you believe in yourself and what you can be. I’m so happy knowing that this year will be one of her happiest. Good things happen to good people.

Lexia! In his own words, maswerte ako na friend ko cya, half man and half woman. :) He understands me, a real friend who would stand by you and try to make you laugh even when your messed up. Sometimes he even surprises me by analyzing me. He's truly wonderful, and amazing. A force to be reckon with, not just as a great nurse but as an all around inspiring man.
Ian Mendez |
My 'kuya', in every sense of the word. Ian has been my crying shoulder, my laughing buddy, my ka-chismisan, ka-kwentuhan, kasama sa panglalait, my kunsintedor! Lucky for me we both have the same twisted sense of humor! haha... ang taong walang sawang nakikinig sa mga paulit ulit kong kwento! He is my mojo booster! 'kaya mo yan ate' were often the words I would hear from him every time I feel down. He's someone that I know would stand up for me, even if im wrong, although pag kami na lang alam kong pagagalitan nya ko! haha... Kuyang kuya. His love for Kristina is something that would inspire you. This is the couple that I have confidence would make it to the end. Theirs is a love that grew more and more as time passed by.
Czervina Cabrera-Sallan |
My bestfriend since the very first day of college! Yes, the very first day! Beki is an amazing woman, true friend, wonderful wife, and now a new mother, in which I know she'll be awesome! This girl has been my rock at the lowest point of my life. It's true what they say, 'maybe it's not blood bonds that makes us family, perhaps it's the people who knows our secrets and loves us anyway'. She's one of the biggest blessing in my life.
Charo B. Adame |
Ofcourse Cha would make it on my list! One of my bestest friend in the world! missing her so much! She has the attitude that makes you wonder how a four feet, eleven inches woman can be so strong. Her perseverance and determination made her an achiever, not only in the field of her career but as a woman that loves and wants the best for her family.
Joset Karen Cometa |
Meow! Karen and I have known each other since college, although we don't get to see each other as often as before, we know that we're still there for each other. I’m so thankful that God has given me a chance to know someone who has a positive outlook in life. It’s an honor being friends with her.
Ayna de Luna |
Strong-willed, determined woman, a person who's faithful to her beliefs. I love her! She's one of a kind. Having conversations with her, makes you think and learn about everything, life in general. She's smart, honest, opinionated and her experiences in life and how she handles it makes her shine.
Generalyn H. Quiambao |
Bessie! Ghen is a nurturer, she takes care of everyone dear to her, very maalaga. I've known her since highschool, she may have this aura that's intimidating but once you get to know her, she's very thoughtful and warm. She would even probably be one of the sweetest person you would know.
My Family |
My family ofcourse is on this list. I thank the Lord for giving them to me.
I feel blessed having these people in my life. How about you, who are the people that made it to your list?

Hello Cebu! Naa na mga GWAPA!!!
From the shores of Dumaguete, we traveled to the Queen City of the South...CEBU! :) We took a twenty minute boat ride from Dumaguete to Lilo-an, Cebu then another three hour bus ride to get to the city.

After the long, fun travel... we finally reached Cebu City. And as the title of this blog entry says, the (ehem! ehem!) gwapas have arrived. ^_^ We went straight to Jacinth Pension House, which my cousin suggested. It's far from a fancy hotel but it's clean, have a good space, it offers a free wi-fi, and it's at the heart of the city, in fact, from where it is, it will only take you a good 15 minute walk to reach the city hall. Plus the price is only 1/8 compared to how much you will be spending when you stay in a five star hotel. The fact that we will be staying in Cebu for only two days means we wont be spending much time there so why waste too much money on a fancy hotel, right? (excuses ng mga travellers on a budget! haha..)
OVERVIEW FROM THE LONELY PLANET:
As far as most visitors are concerned, Cebu City is Manila minus the mayhem. Its traffic is chaotic, but not insane. Its size and layout can actually be understood, rather than merely endured. And - sigh - hardly any of the taxi drivers here are employed by Satan.
With a vast seaport, an international airport, two giant shopping malls, a modern business park and several universities, Cebu City has achieved metropolis status without coming to resemble the ninth circle of hell.

The Philippine Taoist Temple is located inside Beverly Hills subdivision (sounds sosyal, dba?), unfortunately, aside from taxis, public transportation is not allowed inside, so on our way out we had to walk, until a good samaritan offered us a ride.... on his truck. :) We were happy to hop in and we enjoyed every moment of it! ^_^

The highlight of our Cebu trip was our little adventure at the Crown Regency Hotel and Towers, dito nasubukan talaga ang tapang namin! The Sky Experience Adventure offers a lot of adventure-filled activities, we tried the Sky Walk Extreme and the Edge Coaster. It was fun... hmmm... but... it scared the heck out of me! As in, sa sobrang takot ko pakiramdam ko humiwalay ang kaluluwa ko sa katawang lupa ko! O_O Yah, yah, laugh all u want, but being tilted at the egde of the 38th floor building, 130.84 meters above the ground, ewan ko lang kung di kayo matakot! Tipong pag nahulog ka, kelangan pa ng dental records mo para lang ma identify ka! haha...

The Jamba Experience
The other day, after the monthly unit meeting and the dreaded proficiency exam, Nadine, Desiree and I decided to look for some refreshment. We heard that a little store called 'Jamba Juice' just opened it's first branch in Southeast Asia at the Bonifacio High Street Central, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, so off we go!
Turned out, this "little store" is a craze in America, with it's 700+ branches scattered all over the world. So now, we really HAVE to try it! O_O

They have so many flavors and mixes that you can try. You can also add boosters free of charge. And, there's a free photobooth in the house! Free! Free! Free! Yey! (haha...so pinoy of me!) ^_^

I recommend you try it. It's a good break from coffee..(maiba naman paminsan minsan..dba? hehe..) Here's a video I found online about Jamba Juice. Hope to see you enjoy your Jamba Juice. :)
